If there’s one thing that Brazilian steakhouses sure know how to cook, it’s a juicy and tender Picanha steak. With Brazilian-style Rodizio restaurants popping up all across the U.S., this type of steak is becoming more popular than ever before. Here is your guide to cooking a succulent Picanha steak in your own kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds sirloin, cut into four 1 1/2-inch slices
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • Chimichurri
  • 4 metal skewers

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill on a high heat for 5 minutes. Oil up the grates and curl the steaks, pushing them through the skewers.
  2. Season each steak slice with salt and pepper and grill for 4 to 6 minutes before rotating. Do the same with the other side.
  3. Once thoroughly cooked, allow the steak to cool on a chopping board for 10 minutes. Serve with the chimichurri sauce.
